Call us today at (860) 453-6109 to learn more about this massage and how it helps drain all the unnecessary and harmful toxins from your body in a healthy, natural way.

Understanding How the Lymphatic System Works

The lymphatic system is a crucial network of vessels, lymph nodes, ducts, and tissues responsible for draining excess fluid from the body and supporting immune health by filtering out bacteria and combating infections. Unlike the circulatory system, which relies on the heart to pump blood, the lymphatic system depends on muscle contractions and deep breathing to move lymph fluid. Stress, lack of exercise, a sedentary lifestyle, and poor diet can slow down this system, resulting in fluid retention and weakened immunity.

What is a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

A lymphatic drainage massage is specialized to stimulate the lymphatic system, a crucial part of your body’s immune and detoxification processes. Using light, rhythmic strokes and precise movements, this treatment helps encourage the flow of lymph fluid, which carries waste and toxins away from tissues and back into the bloodstream for elimination.

Lymphatic drainage focuses on activating and supporting the body’s natural detox pathways rather than working on deep muscle tissue. In this case, less is more. This technique reduces swelling, promotes healing after surgery, and improves overall circulation. By enhancing the flow of lymph, this massage helps reduce fluid retention, boosts immunity, and leaves you feeling lighter and more energized.

How Do I Know if I Need a Lymphatic Massage?

When your lymphatic system isn’t operating optimally, it can’t effectively remove toxins, keep inflammation at bay, and sweep immune cells throughout your body to sweep out anything that doesn’t belong there. Not only does this threaten your body’s defenses to fight against illness, but it also results in swelling (puffiness), most notably in the face, wrists, and ankles. It also helps you with digestion, elimination, and healthy skin.  Many people go by day-to-day struggling with several different ailments that could be treated with lymphatic drainage. If you deal with any of the following concerns, you could have a congested lymph system:

Possible Signs of Congestion:

  • Acne and skin breakouts

This feeling sends a message to our bodies that there is nothing to worry about and that it’s finally time to relax.

What Sets Us Apart

Imagine Float uses the innovative Ballancer® Pro for lymphatic drainage. This is what you can expect from this treatment:

  • FDA cleared for relieving muscular pain and aches and enhancing circulation

  • 360 degrees of equal pressure, the right and left sides without interruptions; the stroke pattern is sequential and overlapping, not segmented in one fluid motion; therefore, there is no backflow possibility

  • Equates to 24 therapists' hands on you at the same time

  • Sensors that determine which area of the body needs the most attention

  • 60x more effective than a manual lymphatic drainage massage

  • The bottom suit covers the entire legs, hips, glutes, groin, and abdominal area, where the lymphatic system is located

  • Upper body garment covers shoulders, arms, and back

  • Removes lymphatic fluids, toxins, and inflammation by directly pushing these fluids out of the body. The immediate need to excrete these toxins ensures they have left the body to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation

  • Promotes healing and recovery after surgery or injury

  • Eases swelling and inflammation

What to Expect During Your Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Before Your Session

What We Recommend:

  • Drink plenty of water before your lymphatic drainage massage session to support hydration and help your body move the lymphatic waste during your session.

  • Allow yourself a moment to unwind before your session to maximize the relaxing benefits of the touchless massage session.

  • If you plan to listen to music or podcasts or watch a show/movie, please bring your headphones to avoid disturbing others.

  • Opt for loose-fitting attire for a relaxed experience.

What We Recommend You Avoid:

  • Limit caffeine intake. Caffeine can impact your body’s detox process, so avoiding it before your appointment is best.

During Your Session

Here’s what you can expect during your session:

  • Comfortable Atmosphere: You’ll be in a serene, calming environment to help you fully relax and unwind.

  • Professional Guidance: Our Service Specialist will first show you to your service room and assist you with the lower body garment. Our service specialist will ensure you are completely comfortable before starting your touchless session.

  • Pretreatment: Once in your Ballancer® Pro suit, you will receive a pretreatment. This lasts for the first 5 minutes and is completed to help decongest the lymph nodes and ducts.

  • An Advanced Lymphatic Massage: Your lower body session will last approximately 40 minutes. This treatment will cover 75% of the lymphatic system, i.e., the thoracic duct. Your service specialist will assist you in exiting the garment and provide time for a water and restroom break. Afterward, our Service Specialist will help you with the upper body garment. You will enjoy this treatment for 20 minutes. This will “flush” the remaining 25% of your lymphatic system, i.e., the right lymphatic duct. Once your session is complete, your body will experience a full lymphatic flush – 100% of the lymphatic system.

After Your Session

Proper aftercare is essential to maximize the benefits of your treatment. Follow these recommendations to enhance your results:

What We Recommend:

  • Drink plenty of water or herbal teas to help flush toxins from your body.

  • Consume a nutrient-rich, balanced diet to support your body’s healing process.

  • Give your body time to fully absorb the benefits of the treatment.

  • Pay attention to your body. Recognize how it thanks you. For example, did you sleep better that night?

No matter your reason for seeking a lymphatic drainage massage, we recommend beginning with 12 sessions. These sessions can be completed as quickly as your schedule permits. The most common frequency is once a week. Some try to squeeze two sessions in a week. There is no right frequency. We have seen that upon completing a very specific protocol our service specialists manage throughout these 12 sessions, your body feels more like itself. It can recalibrate itself, rid itself of the built-up waste product, and remind itself how to work effectively. A maintenance frequency recommendation will be customized for your health needs.

What We Recommend You Avoid:

  • Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated beverages, as they may stimulate your body and interfere with relaxation.

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol. These substances can disrupt the detoxification process; it’s best to refrain for at least 24 hours.

  • Give your body a break from intense physical activity for 24 hours post-treatment.
